He started his career in editorial, working directly for a broadsheet journalist. He then moved on to SEO and Paid Search - having freelanced now full-time for 3 years. He has worked in very senior positions at digital agencies, and has delivered training programmes to the European Council. His work has been featured in Econsultancy, Moz and Search Engine Watch.

Whilst at the Telegraph, Matt was involved in four out of five all-time top branded content campaigns in search. Search traffic doubled since he started. He introduced an array of new tools, processes and implementations that improved SEO for the publisher, for example rank, keyword density and topic measurement.
He has brought richer SEO data accountability to the team and led right from the pitch to the final published and distributed end product.
